Ronald Townsend joined the City Council in May, 2002. He currently represents the City Council on the Board of Directors for Community Equity Investments, Inc. (CEII) and the Florida/Alabama Transportation Planning Organization.

Ronald is President of R. P. Townsend & Associates, a management consultant firm, specializing in Human Resources issues. Ronald serves on the Board of Directors of Sacred Heart Systems. He is a past member of the Zoning Board of Adjustment, Florida Commission on Human Relations, Florida Lemon Law Board, Board of Directors of United Way, and Board of Directors of Lakeview Center. His organization affiliations include: Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Krewe of African Kings, Knights of Peter Claver, American Legion Post #193.

Ronald has a Master’s Degree from Antioch University and a Bachelor of Arts from Southern University. He and his wife Lily are active members of St. Joseph Catholic Church and have four children.
