Fortis Document Search

Search For Documents

We now offer the Pensacola City Clerk Records which includes many documents and records available for viewing in electronic format. The purpose of these instructions is to explain how to view these city records online. It requires a free plug-in. If you experience trouble accessing the City Clerk Records, please be sure you are using Internet Explorer 5.0 or above. Below are the steps needed to access the Online City Clerk's Records.

Install the FortisWeb Plug-in
The first time you attempt to view a document you will be asked if you want to install the plug-in.

  1. Click here to read the download/install instructions for the required web browser plug-in. 

  2. The system will install your plug-in automatically but to install manually click here. Choose open to run the installation setup.

NOTE: The site has been upgraded. Prior users of the site will have to install the new FortisWeb plugin to view documents.

Searching Documents  

The search page contains a list of pre-defined queries (click on title above for more help on searching documents):

Keyword Search for Documents  -  Allows the user to search the database by selecting a type of document, and then entering keywords, and/or date range of document.
Index of Ordinances  -  Allows the user to search for index of Ordinances for a particular year or subject by entering year and/or keyword.
Index of Resolutions  -  Allows the user to search for index of Resolutions for a particular year or subject by entering year and/or keyword.
Council Files for past 60 days  -  Displays a list of council file documents dated within the past 60 days.
Minutes for past 60 days  -  Displays a list of minutes documents dated within the past 60 days.
Ordinances for past 60 days  -  Displays list of ordinance documents dated within the past 60 days.
Resolutions for past 60 days  -  Displays a list of resolution documents dated within the past 60 days.

Viewing the Documents

The Fortis FortisWeb Document Viewer lets you view all the pages of a document, print a document, rotate and flip the document, view it full page or actual size, and zoom in and out. For more information on viewing documents click on the viewing the documents link above.

Printing Documents

To Print documents, you must select the Fortis Printer icon NOT the web browser printer icon. Click on the link above for more help on printing.

Exporting Documents

To export the open document, click the Export icon on the viewer. Use the link above for more help on Exporting.
