Application Tips
When applying for employment with The City of Pensacola, remember that the only information we have about your ability to perform the job is your application and supplemental data. Oftentimes numerous applications are received when few vacancies exist. Therefore, it is important to your success as an applicant to take the time to fill out your application completely and carefully to ensure we have enough information to assess your qualifications.
Before submitting an application:
- Review the job announcement to ensure you meet all qualifications before taking time to complete and submit the application. Applicants who do not meet minimum qualifications are disqualified.
- Be sure you are willing to accept the announced salary. Applicants can usually expect the starting salary to be the minimum advertised.
- Be sure you have completely and carefully filled out the requested information for each section.
- Do not refer to information on a resume or other documents filed separately; the information must be documented in the application.
- If you choose to complete an on-line application, make sure your computer is set appropriately. The profile page will provide instructions.
