Home Reconstruction

Under the HOME Reconstruction Program, the City provides direct loans for reconstruction of dilapidated, owner occupied properties.

Only single-family properties are eligible for HOME assistance. A single family property is defined as one dwelling unit property from which no income is derived by the occupancy, use, rental, or lease of any portion or space within that property.

The Program's goals are to preserve housing and the quality of older neighborhoods, rehabilitate deteriorated properties, provide assistance to lower income homeowners to maintain their homes as safe, sound and sanitary dwellings, and maintain the community's affordable housing stock.

Requests for assistance under this program are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. To qualify for assistance, applicants must meet specific program requirements.
