Department of Neighborhood Services

The mission of the Neighborhood Services Department is to improve and promote the quality of life for all citizens and visitors of Pensacola by protecting the heritage or our parks while providing a wide range of recreational, social, and educational opportunities.

The Department has three major divisions:

  • Office of the Director
  • Recreation (Includes Athletics)
  • Library Services

The Department employs 85 full-time staff members, along with 300+ part-time staff and instructors.

The City of Pensacola has a total of 92 parks and open spaces which are maintained by the Public Works and Facilities Department, programmed by the Neighborhood Services Department, and utilized by Pensacola residents and City organizations.
