Become a Pensacola Firefighter Active recruitment is conducted for Fire Cadet or Professional Firefighter when positions are available with the Pensacola Fire Department, Northwest Florida’s leading fire department. Interested persons should routinely scan the City's website for notices of vacancies. Minimum and special requirements for Fire Cadet and Professional Firefighter are addressed on the “Job Classifications” link at www.pensacolacityjobs.com or by clicking here (attach related documents). Applicants for Cadet and Professional Firefighter must not have used tobacco or tobacco related products for at least one year immediately preceding application, and after employment must remain tobacco-free for the duration of employment (applicants are required to sign a sworn affidavit).
