Sherrer Kuchera

Administrator

Sherrer started her career with the City in 1987 in the City Manager's office and also as Assistant City Clerk. In 1994, she transferred to the Human Resources Department and currently is the Human Resources Administrator. Sherrer is responsible for all facets of Human Resources operations. Her duties encompasses the following : recruitment and employment, benefits and compensation, payroll and personal processing, equal employment, staff planning, personnel policies, employee grievances, collective bargaining, employee relations, ADA/FMLA compliance and temporary employment. She is responsible for the department's budget as well as oversees and participates in job audits, wage and benefit analysis, and makes recommendations concerning staffing issues.

Sherrer has served as a member of the Health Insurance Quality Circle, United Way Campaign Coordinator, United Way Loaned Executive, and the United Way Funds Distribution Committee. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Florida Public Personnel Association, Florida Personnel Labor Relations Association, and International Personnel Management Association.

Sherrer received her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Troy University and has earned her certification as a Professional Human Resources Manager. She and her husband Chris have three adult sons and one granddaughter.
